Expected 1/8th mile times
Personally havent made it to a track on my 08' but other than a tune, BROCKS SMEG, and -1 in front thats it. Not lowered or strapped (dont intend to) at the moment due to lack of time to get to the track. What would be considered terrible and good times for a stocker?
I know its all in the 60footer that makes the major difference which I will suck at in the begginning. Dont get me wrong I have some skills, and a lot of seat time, just not on a bike (on a track), straight line track that is.

What do you weigh?
No strap and not lowered .....You could go anywhere from 6.20s to 7.20s ... If you not 250 pounds i'd guess 6.80s .....

Depending on your weight I would say 9.90's-10.20's in the 1/4..not sure what that relates too in the 1/8th.

I'm 6'3" and 230 suited. Other than the 14 being a kick a$$ bike, this is one of the main reason for the 14. 6 years ago I had a turbo mustang, 1991 362Cu 25lbs boost that ran 6.0 to 6.1 depending on conditions. I ran this car limited on the street and got a smack talking punk on a Gixxer 750 that thought he was the fasted thing to ever hit the street or track for that matter. Probably just a punk that had never been to the track. Called him on his bluff and after weeks got him to the local 1/8 mile for $100. I ran a 6 teen something and he was in the low 7's. Given he was stock as far as suspension, stretched, etc... Big slice of humble pie for him to choke down. After coming down the return road I never saw him again. Also didnt pay, but I figured that I had gotten $100 worth of embarrassment from him!! Some folks that have never been around racing get a fast street bike and think their the sh!t till they get a good spanking. I still get an occassion to go to the track but there are very few 14's there to compare. Busa's mostly with a lot of litre bikes and 600's. I was hoping to get into the mid six's with some practice.

Unfortunately lowering both ends seems to be required for most of us to cut any kind of decent times in the 1/8th mile. My stock height 2006 Passion Red 14 with a Brock's SMEG and Track Map, with a 16 tooth sprocket and flies out, transporting my 205 pounds unsuited, could only run a best of a 7.18 sec/ 113 mph. Our track is like glue, and several times I carried the front wheel in third across the finish. The only improvement I could make was to adjust the clutch lever alot, so as to slip the clutch even more than I was trying to. The only bright spot was that in the last 100 yards or so, none of the other bikes, including lowered 14's, a turboed and stretched Suzuki 1000, and others, could gain on me, especially when I red lighted!

Hey reward,
A good 60' is important but the 330' tells the tale.
A bike like the 14 has so much torque that the 1-2 gear transition is difficult. We went the other night and Zack (madkawboy) had to short shift due to carrying the front wheel towards the top of first gear......the track was hooking good. He just clicks second gear while the front end is still up and that's the only way he could turn decent times.

Yeah thats what Im afraid of is carring the front end. I live out in the country and have a couple of good areas that I practice lauching. I feel Im getting out of the hole good but getting to full throttle quickly in first is about impossible with out lifting the front end too high. Its a balance of how quickly you can get to full throttle in first. Which I see will be the main ingredient in getting a good ET. Maybe someone will invent a track like the division I used to run in the ABA. Pro Bass division you ran on a rolling start and hammered in at the starting line. I bet the gixxer boys would love that.
