HID's HID's HID's - eBaby - egads
Looking for thoughts on the question about HID kits for this bike. (from ebay)
Bulb types, balast type, longeitity... etc. Seems to me that HID's, particularly digital balast types, largely ought to be about the same.... There are some pretty radical pricing differences on the kits on ebay. At those prices, I'd like to replace both low and high. The prices have sure come down in the last several years.
Do the varying prices make sense -vs- quality?
Are there really any major differences with HID kits for this bike off ebay?
Anyone particularly happy with their HID off ebay?

Most folks have stayed away from doing the high beams. They are not instant on which is a pain for flicking.
6500 seems to be the temp range.

JDC-I've got the low beams from EFX company(thru ebay, I chose 8k for the color). The 194 side markers I got from V-LEDS.com(if you get the 6 leds it would be a bit brighter than stock). The high beams I got from HOEN(google it) and it will provide brighter high beams(but still have a tint of blue but not profound as the low beams).
This is one of the best mods I made to improve cosmetics/functionality of my Candy Thunder Blue 06. After it's all installed(Took about 30 minutes), I had to raise the beam about 1/2 inch and it's perfect! Lots of light(more than stock) and more compliments from others
