Bit the bullet, got the Passport 9500i today.
the mount sucks, keeps bouncing all over the place. time for a techmount.
funny thing is that I was playing with it in my truck, 'marked' my house as a speed trap. Now when I get within a mile of home, I get warned, lol.

I have a Bel RX65 in my car and on my bike. They have saved me countless times. I can't recommend the adaptiv technologies TPX. It gave me way too many false positives, but it is the most motorcycle friendly. I use a stem mount, with the vaccum formed plastic casing around the RX65, I made it semi-permanent by clamping thin cable around it.
There are times when the detector will warn you a little too late - like if you are going way too fast.... then it is a choice to stop and deal with the consequences or run and deal with the consequences. I'm not condoning one over the other.
