Acadania, I hope your wife gives my friends here the same case deal I was given by Rex in TX. I won't do anything unethical such as post my cost but I hope you do them right
You bet we will Steve. Our wholesale pricing will apply to anyone on this thread. We want to help as much as we can. Not out to compete with other dealers. Rex knows what the best oil is that's for sure. Our hat's or off to him. Can't wait to see SmokinZx posting on his test. Thanks.

I used to change the oil on my bikes years ago, I don't know why I stopped. Reading this post made me realize that the zx14 should be an easy change. Went out and bought everything I needed.
Yikes! The dealer wanted 12.99 for Amsoil. Got the Rotella for less than half that and did the oil change myself. Too easy. I'll do it myself from now on!

you went to a STEALERSHIP for bike stuff?

I gave a lot less than that for my amsoil, and it was delivered to my front door. Wow, I bet your dealer doesn't sell a whole lot of stuff at those prices

I look forward to giving it. The main reason I'm so pleased with it all regarding amsoil isn't because I finally am trying real oil in my bikes (I used MOTUL in the track bikes)....but I placed an order one day, got a tracking number within a few minutes, and got the damn oil in LESS THAN 48 hours UPS man knocking on my door. I'm all about customer service.

And for service like that, I'll use the high dollar good oil rather than driving around to a Wal-Mart for shelf-top stuff

The steelership is trying to sell Amsoil for way above Amsoil retail pricing. To get it cheeper, find a dealer and ask um about prefered customer membership for wholesale pricing. With Amsoil you can get 25,000 miles or intervals with each oil change for your automobile with a warranty on the oil and filter. For street driven motorcycles you get twice the manufacturers interval. Just a little to let you know where you can save your money. Stuff a steelership won't tell you.

I heard that purlator said that their pure 1 filter should not be used on motorcycles and that they have one for bikes.

James the oil seemed to work just fine , it was so hot everyone was running a 10 tenth of a second off and most were down 2 MPH ...I was the only one that didn't slow down in the heat ...As i posted in my other thread the Amsoil made my clutch grab sooner and harder than the MobilOne ..That gave me a few problems and will take me a few more test and tunes to adjust my clutch hand for the extra clutch bite ... I had the same problem when i tried Brocks 0wt oil that he sells .... I need to get some more runs and the bike and get it on the dyno , so for now the jury is still out because i really don't have hards facts to go by yet .. But if i had to guess the oil helped ... The motor was nice and quite on the Amsoil just like with the MobilOne , where as with Brocks 0wt oil the motor sound like a trash compactor ...Last outting for the zx14 with Mobil One was May 15 ( Much cooler temps, 15 to 16 Deg cooler ) it ran 5.75 @ 123 ..June 20 in 98 deg heat 5.74 @ 123 1/8 mile..

Hey dick head ... Brocks oil worked fine but you could hear every valve rattle , piston rattle and cam chain spinning...Those are things i don't like to hear so i'll run the thicker oil..Brocks has had it in his zx14 from day one and no problems and it DOES work ..

Pisser Quote.. 98 Heat @ 5.74 and cold is 5.75 = WATT does that tell you? Tells me plenty. Oil my azz.

Where do you get COLD ... May 15 cold ? 15 to 16 deg cooler in May 15 than 98 in June 20... Thats low 80s pisser , do the math... Hardly cold my friend ...Cooler yes but cold ? don't think so ..

Not only can you not write you can't figgin read ..
