What Oil to use for ZX14??????

Need to know what I need to take off to change the oil on my 08'ZX14. I know if I need to take off any fairing and or lift the bike up a little to put a pan under to catch the oil. And where the drain plug in. What oil do most of you guys use? Semi-Synthetic or Full Synthetic? Are there any special oil filter wrenches to use, or can you use something else? Thanks for your input.

I use the filter tool from Napa and Napa gold oil filters and I do not have to remove any fairings. I am able to reach in to remove the filter. If your bike is broken in 600+ miles you can switch to sythetic if you like. I went to 1700 with standard oil(two oil changes)and then switched to sythetic. I use Royal Purple M/C 20w50 but what you use and buy is really up to you. Don't forget to change the crush washer on the plug every second oil change.

I use amsoil and K&N filters. I love the 14 for its ease of oil change. no need to take any thing off or lift the bike.

Shell Rotella T 5w-40 full synthetic....30k using that oil with no problem.

The trick is to make sure you use oil with NO friction modifiers....

100% Synthetic Amsoil 10w40. Cooler running, best shear strength stability, holds its viscosity in high temps.
