The nearest track to me is 200 miles - one way. Riding my bike there isn't an option. My trailer works just fine.

Having tools, fluids, rear stand, coverage from the elements, and a clean place to wrench is really handy if you have that option.
Even though I live 20 minutes from the track, I would be towing for all the reasons stated.

5 miles to the track and I tow , but I ride 27 miles to work.
