Took the 08 gixxer 1000 to the track.
Well friday nite i decided to race the wifes 08 gixxer 1000 for the first time due to my 14 needing a rear tire. Now when i ran my 14 last year I had a full brocks shortmeg, pc3, and a front strap and my best was a 9.68 et in the 1/4. Her gixxer 1000 had exactly the same mods and now the same rider. Well first pass off the trailer on the 1000 was a 10.50 pass, 2nd pass 10.19 at 139mph, 3rd pass 10.18 at 140mph, Then during eliminations I went out in the semis. ran a 10.15 on the brakes at 123mph. I gotta tip my hat, They are no slouch!! I am not the best racer out there but being my first time at the track on this bike I was impressed. I dont street ride her bike very often so i doesnt feel comfortable to me at all, There is a test and tune in june im gonna run it again I will post my results.
