OK, sounds good.
please email tracking info to eldubois at telus dot net

I am still concerned about your HP numbers though.

Something is not right here.

With spray your bike should be showing 205- 230 hp and around 130-140 lbs of torque with nitrous and mediurm size jets.

Your rear tire probably lost traction or your dyno test was at 10,000 ft. altitude or the operator didn't know how to test with nitrous or his computer wasn't calibrated properly.

I like to put it into 4th or 5th gear and only when achieving around 8,000 hit the nitrous. That will help in keeping the tire from spining.

Next time you do a dyno run keep your eye on the tach. Even though it is not very accurate any spinning of the tire will be immediately apparent by the movement of the needle.

Hope this helps--

Dubious you mentioned strapping the rear down on the dyno. That normal? The Brocks verse Muzzy shootout we did they never strapped the tires down and I believe Gilberjj was spinning his tire through the midrange when he had the 0W-20 oil in it. Look at the dyno graph and tell me if that last second mad rush for hp was the dyno finally catching up to the tire.

On that run I was pestering the operator to put the bikes tire on the backside of the drum so we could get enough room to direct the Ram Air into the intake, and he put the tire on the top of the drum as a compromise. That 1" difference I believe allowed his tire to spin. What do you think?

This was done with Mike's Dyno the guy that was on the TV show pink's ...

Anyways this is a stock engine with nitrous..

When I hit the nitrous button it feels like I shifted two gears down and a quick snap at 150mph

What would be the best gear ratio for this horsepower..

I weigh 220 pounds

The gears on it are 16 41 would it be better to two runs 16 42 or 16 43 I'm looking for the third to fourth gear power I like cranking from 60 to 180 on a roll...

Anybody have any ideas on which gear ratio would I benefit with?

Stix, I can't say for sure but it may have been spinning. What were your tire pressures?
They usually will spin between peak torque and peak HP curves, where the motor is picking up revs quicker , more so than on the top end where acceleration rate is steady.

I have also heard of them tied down over the frt of the drum , and when it torques up the tire climbs down the leading edge and rubs the platform !
I just know for the high HP bikes, like turbo's and NOS they have to or the tire will spin on the drum,
I sold Fury my old nitrous system. When I put it on my bike, with the arm set at +4" going down the highway, it was blowing off the tire and picking up 3000 rpm in 5th gear when enguaged at 7000 rpm it would rev right to 9500-10,000 instantantly LOL
I had to drop the tire pressure 5 psi down to 30 so it would not spin!

I do not know Fury's bike but i do know the same as Smokin has said with his, I had a strong motor that was pulling every NA bike I had ever put it up against, and by a good margin.

Yeah throw me into that boat, too. I would love to claim it was all the exhaust, but there's no way just a exhaust is going to give me more power everywhere like that. I do believe that gilberjj was spinning his tire, though, and that it was my fault for pestering the guy into leaving the bike a bit farther back than he wanted. Thats the only explanation I have for the odd shape of the graph on the zero weight oil run, and why it was reading lower until the very end.

Did Jorgen's previous dyno show similar dip?
That would help in determining ....

Stock the 14 falls off there, I am not too familiar with the muzzy graphs...

Jorgens bike is the black line AND the orange line. Black line is with 5-30 Rotella oil, orange line is 0-20 oil. who would have thought there could be that big a difference? Everything else stayed the same except the temp in the dyno room rose from the low 50's to the high 50's deg F. Humidity might have dropped a tad, too.
