another freakin nitrous question
I am toying with the idea of getting a nitrous set up. I am thinking about a spyder system from schnitz. with a progressive controller. but I know I have to run a richer map with nitrous. but I don't want a richer map all the time. I know I can use a power commander lcd display to change maps on the fly. so I could have a juice map and a road map. but I don't want a power commander lcd display. Is there and thing I can do to just have to switches on the dash. one for to arm the nitrous and one to switch maps?
Now Just in case I am way out in left feild what all do i need to run a dry set up. I am thinking a 30 shot and still be a streetable ride. the juice is just a "special occasion" kind of thing. I am thinking about hiding the bottle too.

A DynoJet multi-function hub is what you want.

You can set it up to switch maps instantly when you hit the nitrous button, from what I understand.

Well, the multi-function hub has a toggle switch for two maps. I assume you would wire in the momentary instead of the toggle. Make sense?
I have a hub, etc here...but haven't messed with it yet..

I have a HUB on my bike and a toggle switch on the left panel. The switch is "for armed or not". If armed, the horn button will turn on the nitrous above 8,500 rpm (and second map) or above any other RPM setting I want. If the toggle switch is in the off position... the horn button will work the horn.
There are many different types of setups. This is an example of just one--

I have the hub with the handlebar mounted switch. I have to manually switch from my motor map to my nitrous map. I have a separate toggle switch that turns my nitrous on and off. I have no horn/starter button switch because I am using a progressive nos controller.

I run a 50 shot.
Run it from 3rd gear on a stock wheel base.
The bike hooks up great.
All run thru Muzzy system harness and thru Power Commander pc3usb and hub.
1 Auto motive relay. Makes the map change over automatic. Slick really.
2 bottles of giggle juice.

Guys,
I had the nitrous set up with the hub, and could activate the nitrous map in conjunction with the nitrous solenoid.
You need to wire a relay, in N/O position with the cct being the ground to the hub.
The power to your solenoid needs to be wired in parallel to the relay.
DO NOT wire the HUB to 12 v power!
The hub is designed to operate under 5 volts.
When the negative to grd cct is activated, relay closes with the solenoid, the 2nd map will be activated.
Worked great!
If you want to run a progressive controller or window switch , its as simple as wiring it in series with the horn or other means of activation.
