Adjusting Sag?
Talked to some local busa racers from the shop down the road and they were asking me if I set the sag on my bike since I started racing. They stated hanging the rear of the bike(have a couple of guys pick up the tail and lift the rear tire off the ground) and measure from the point on the tail down too the swingarm. Then get in all my gear and have someone brace the bike while i sit on it in the full tuck positon and measure from the same two points again. They stated this should not be more than an inch difference. I know for a fact when i sit on the bike it goes down 2-3inches. Has anyone else adjusted for sag and what are your opinions on adjustment and differences at the track?

Sounds like the local busa riders have too much time on their hands...talking about "sag"...as long as you're bike squats enough, doesn't rub the tire, and beats a busa, it's good...the busa riders just want to sound important (wait, maybe that's me?).

Setting the static sag for your weight is the starting point for suspension settings. Not so important for sprinting when the bike would be lowered and strapped but worth it if you circuit race.
