engine cutting out?
So first time out with the 14 and all the new mods,Took out the secondaries ,installed PC3 with map,Installed Brock pipe.Today was the first time i actually went to redline and on occasion it will act like it hits the rev limiter ,like it just goes flat.But it can be at 5 grand as well as higher up the rev scale.Almost like its starving for gas or hitting rev limiter.Yet other times i can give up to redline and fairly high speed and no problems.I am just wondering could this be because i grounded the PC to the frame as per instructions instead of negative on the battery?Confused!

You probably have a bad ground with the PC3. Extend the ground wire over to the battery.

Grounding it to the frame is fine .... did you remove the paint first ?

So, does that mean that you agree that grounding is the likely issue?
There is a very good, solid ground coming off of the battery. I'm sure you can ground it elsewhere, though...but I know that one is 100%. I find it more convenient to have my electronics centrally grounded.

I actually grounded it to the bolt that bolts the coolant tank to the engine.But i will try grounding to the battery.Thanks for the ideas guys.

You can ground to the battery WITHOUT extending the ground wire. You just have to relocate the pcIII to under the seat....

That's how I have mine right now. But that won't work if you add an ignition module...the cables are too short to mount it under the seat.

I actually like it inside the front fairing.I barely have room under the seat for the tool kit and owners manual.

Pretty sure its a grounding issue ..... battery is the 100% sure fire ground.
Some people cannot extend the wire properly ~ so it may be easier to
remove the paint where the unit is to be grounded.

Mine was 5 ohms resistance from the coolant bolt to battery post ,
this was enough to cause me problems too. Ran an earth wire to the
battery earth bolt and soldered all my aftermarket earths to it / no more problems!

Well regrounded the PC3 not to the battery but just as good i think,I grounded to the bolt that the negative ground from the battery goes to.I put the wire right between both heavy cable grounds from the battery to what appears a frame ground behind the engine..It seemed easier then yanking the battery out.Now just have to go test.
