07 ZX14 Cam Timing?
I've just ported my ZX14 head and I'm about to rebuild it with a cometic 0.018 head gasket.
If I have calculated right, this puts the compression up to 13:1 from stock 12:1.
I am using the engine on a race car so torque in the mid & top end range is the most important factor.
Any suggestions re. cam timing adjustments?
Appreciate any suggestions.

Good Luck getting a Tuner to post this info. Years ago on the Yamaha FJ1200 for
Ledgend Cars most engine builders were moving the lobe centers from the factory 112
Degrees to 110/108. Usually a few degrees less will help with mid range at a small top end
loss of peak HP.

from what i've seen 105 105 are the factory specs and they seem to work fine. I've seen some go 105 107

Does anyone know how much change in degrees of the cam timing there would be due to the difference in thickness of the high compression head gasket if you were to reassemble without using variable cam timing sprockets?
