First Month of Ownership

I've been the typical lurker. I used this site as a education when deciding on which bike to buy and I settled on the 14. Not even 24 hours after taking delivery I was cruising along at about 40 when a car kicked a board up at me and cracked the plastic on my bike along with numerous scratches. Today was it's first service. I took it to the dealer thinking I would be on it for around $180. Soon after dropping it off the service manager called me with some awesome news, my rear tire had a nail in it! So $400 later instead of the anticipated $180 I am back on the road. Is this bike cursed? I don't want to put another mile on it, scared that something else will go wrong. Ok, just kidding about that, it's way too much fun not to ride. I went with the Pirelli Diablo, hopefully a sound choice. I guess it all comes down to, "If you want to play, you've got to pay."

Don't worry, the grin you get on your face is well worth the little crap that happens when owning a 14.
Welcome aboard.

How about this for bad luck. I was coming home from class at about 10pm. There was one car and me, (four lane highway with a turn lane), I was driving in trail. The car suddenly hits the brakes, I slow down as well. Keep in mind we are going about 55-60mph. The car slowed down for a dog and missed it, I was not as fortunate. I had no time to do anything, I just tried to keep the bike str8. Long sdtory short I kept the bike up and had to replace the lower left fairing for about $120. At the end of the day I was pretty lucky as it could have been much worse, but damn I nearly shat myself.
