Tank bag & luggage question
What kind of tank bag are you guys using? I have a magnetic one that I used on my Hayabusa, but it will not work on my ZX14 due to the plastic cover on the tank. The back two magnets stick, but the front two will not. I am also looking for some pointers on what kind of luggage setup people are using for longer trips. I do most of my riding with my wife on the back so I am not sure id soft saddle bags will work. I also do not want to spend a ton of money either. What do you recommend? Thanks

the back two magnets stick and the front don't??? who cares about the front magnets, no wind is hitting the bag anyway.
and if you care, mount some metal strips under the front plastic cover and ground them somewhere.

That's what I was thinking about doing. Why would I have to ground them?

I purchased the larger OGIO tank bag based in part on Bawls recomendation.
http://www.ogio.com/product.php?product=163&nav=0
It has room for a pair of shoes and a change of clothes for a long weekend. As far as the half plastic tank, the bottom is covered with small pockets that hold the magnets. Not all are in use so I moved the front magnets to the rear of the bag. It also has a strap that goes around the steering head. The overall fit on the tank is less than perfect but very good IMO. I've riden shall we say very fast, and the bag was going nowhere...it is very secure.

Get the Cortech set up. They have a tank bag that straps on. Check the pics.
