I figure I'd go right to the source.
I am doing some work to a friends 08 ZX10r.
Are the guys pulling the flies on these bikes, will he see a big improvement?
Did you pull the flies on yours?
He isn't drag racing, just lookin for more bottom and mid range power.
Street ridden for shits and giggles.
Alien head, Bazzaz with AFM module, and a few other parts going on the bike.
I realise it may become more wheely prone, but thats ok.
ET is not the goal. Shits and giggles is the goal.

I never pulled the flys on my 08 .. I did read that many have pulled them loved the extra power in the mid range ... You will not see the gains that a zx14 gets but there is something to be had flyless with a good map... Hope that helps Lyle ...

FWIW:
I pulled the flies on my buddies R1 .... most poeple on the R1 forums said dont
do it, we did along with a Graves map and staggerd stacks...."awesome"

I told him I will try to be easy on the brand new back tire..Bahahaah...
My 1st ride of the new year... on the street.
He sounded nervous...LOL
I rode it all stock last year and was not impressed at all.... will see how she does now.
