HELP!!!

changed the oil pan and i have a leak. the leak isn't too bad, but the oil light came on when I was on the way home. soon as I saw the light I turned the bike off and walked it down the road. has anyone else has anyone had this happen after changing pans?

Did the oil light come on because it leaked out that much ?

Doesn't sound like a small leak if it leaked enough to put on the oil light ..!

I have put 4 or 5 pans on zx14s and even reused the gasket a few times and no leaks .. I can't see how this would happen ..

it was dark when I put it up so I didn't get a chance to check the level. didn't really look like enough to cause it to go low

I put a Clem's pan on and had a verrrrrrry small leak, just a few drops a day. It was so little that it was somewhat hard to isolate. Turned out to be the drain plug and some teflon tape on the threads cured the leak.

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
