Here's how the clearance will be, once you trim the guard:

See my build thread for more details.

Thanks to Shane and Compton I have several from both now.

Shane;s have a thinner head for extra clearence after you grind down the fin/guard.

Compton bolt has a viton "O" ring to seal gas

on a F.I. system so I think it should seal OK.

Shane's bolt got here and I liked the idea of the stock washer to seal as it is a

larger Dia to help seal. Two good idea's . I will try both and see.

Thanks to Both Members

Just an FYI, the bolt/washer setup I have seals fine. I put oil in the bike a few days ago and ran it through several heat cycles with no leaks.

You guys can contact Shane through the IM system even if he's not online: Get the IM popup going (click on the "FORUMS" page and it will pop up automatically), click on anybody's name and a IM comes up. Take out the name of that person, insert Shane661 in the "To:" block and it will pop up on him whenever he visits the site next.

Compton, got the bag of bolts and washers in the mail. Thanks man, you never returned my request for how much you wanted $$ to send them to me. You're one generous dude, I'll make sure I pass them bolts out to any who want them and will be throwing around your name as the benefactor!

Feel kinda 'cheap' now because I bought 2 bolts off of Shane and they are in the mail now. Compton you sure you don't want a few bucks to cover shipping and shit?

Well, that will help but I still would have busted that out of my pan last night. for the track I would recommend a pan that's been cut with the plug moved to the back.

Did you flatten your exhaust too? I almost went with a Clem's, but they told me they couldn't guarantee I wouldn't run it dry at Maxton.

Do you have your forks slid up in the triples at all?
