OIL BOLT
Shane661, Looking at your build thread and i see you tried an allen head oil drain plug. You said it sucked! I know the size but cant find a low profile bolt anywhere. What did you end up using. I see A P E has on listed but no picture. Help

the navistar maxforce DT I6 engine fuel rail plug is the same thread pitch and a lot lower profile then the stock plug, fyi.

yeah that looks just like the navistar plug, only there has an o ring in it.

I got mine at Maryland Metrics, you'd have to look it up, and there is a minimum order.

Thanks Wee I will look them up and call them tomorrow. I just mounted a new set of Michelin Pilot Road II this will be a good ride to break them in. Next Fri we are going to
Arkansas and ride the Talaimeina Parkway, 1200 miles in 5 days. I purchased a C14
seat for the trip. :-)Want to go?

I was looking at the guard/fins and thinking that if this bolt works and does
not leak I would use my air grinder and remove them. Better acess to the allen head and more clearence.

I just tuned down some bolts down to 4mm thick on a lathe (thanks boss) did afew spares as there is two other 14riders at the local track .
