Can or open exhaust?????
I'm running a 2007 ZX14 engine with power commander V in a race car and have just ordered Muzzy M14 headers and mid-pipe.
Has anyone ever tried running this set-up without an exhaust can (open exhaust)?? For the last couple of years I have always run without a can and just had an open exhaust. All the bike guys tell me to run with a can as it is much better. I tried the can once and felt that the engine wouldnt rev as easily up top. Can anyone give any advise as to why they think I should run with a can? or without? (better bottom end maybe?) Has anyone tried the 14 on a dyno with open exhaust?
Noise level is not a problem as the car is only used on a race track. I would appreciate everyones input to convince me which set up is better.
Cheers

If you don't want to run a can, I'd suggest the boz bros moira. Its what I have but people say u get more power out of a can

Thanks eklipse. Its not that I dont want to run a can,,,,its that I'm not sure which gives better power or whether it is worth carrying the extra weight of the can.......
Has anyone compared with can vs without can on a dyno or better still, on the strip??

Nop, the sidewinder won't fit on the car as the engine space frame comes down alongside the engine. Therefor there is no room for a sidewinder to come out of the side.
