Haha, I know, 9 pages and still no testing or results... The good news is there is a track day at the end of this month, and a dyno day too!

Well we have heavy hitters here at Memphis also, ever heard of "Shine" look at the standings of just about any major event and you'll see his name, heck ask Brock about him hahah neways, my threads stayed on topic, you jumped in with your comment downplaying my ability or my opponents ability for that matter...... just be easy, and we can all have a good time on here, im just as passionate about this as anyone, I dont have to post 12,000 times to prove it.
are you saying you beat shine???? what kind of pipe does shine use????

Here's my to-do list for Saturday AM:
Install my Suburban's new Flowmaster exhaust.
Wash my car, bike, 'burb, and bike trailer.
Powerspray driveway and sidewalk.
Supervise my son mowing the lawn (takes longer than doing it myself)
Sh*t, Shower and Shave.
Saturday PM:
..... assist the wife in setting up and throwing a 60+ person birthday party - for a 5 yr old. Only in my world do the birthday invitations to a 5 yr olds birthday include "BYOB" and "bonfire starts at 9pm, bring dry wood if you got it"...... think I had a sympathy hangover this morning just thinking about it.

I'm going to say 1 lol.
If it's been a while since you've changed your air filter, you might want to pull it as well and tap the bugs out. I do that once a week because we have lots of small bugs and the ram air works really well for scooping them up. (road plankton) lol. I also put about 750 miles a week on my bike though.
Not to thread jack but Hey sticks... have you got to drive a G8 yet? I test drove one a couple of days ago and that thing is bitchin'.

Yeah I test drove a G8 GT and a G8 6 cylinder. 6 cylinder was a surprise, more power than i woulda thought. GT with the 363hp V8 was a blast. Could use more power, or should I say it needs to have GM's Torque Management turned off. It retards timing and throttle in lower gears and at gear changes to preserve the running gear. Drove the GT for an hour with the salesman egging me on (he was a Busa rider and we were talking shop the whole time). G8 is a great car platform, rock solid with great suspension, great steering and brakes, all around good car that would sell outstanding if not for the economy.
However, be warned: if you drive a GTO after driving the G8 you will lose all interest in the G8. Consider yourself warned!

I haven't gotten to drive one of the gen2 GTO's. I thought that the Gen1 was a turd, but I know that they respond well to mods. I was also driving my Comet GT with a mild 351 windsor and 4.62's at the time, so it could have been a Z06 and it would have felt like a civic. I have an almost 3 year old, so a 4dr is nice lol. Maybe when I get back i'll end up with a G8 GT...we'll just see how things work out.

Around here the G8 GT's are running low 13's with exhaust and Cold Air Intake (CAI). Damn that seems odd though: bone stock the 3800 pound 400hp GTO are *claimed* at 12.8-13.2, while the 4000pound 364hp G8 GT is *claimed* at 13.6. With similar mods the G8 is only running a couple tenths behind the lighter more powerful GTO. Me thinks the G8 GT is a ringer held up by a stuffy exhaust and GM's torque management.
Car Craft did a article on there new chevy shop truck back in 2001 or 2002. They ran a predator tuner on it and all they did was turn off the torque management and firmed up the shifts. They knocked it down from 15.6sec to a 14.5sec.

I drove an auto gto (ls2) a couple years back and I wasn't super impressed. I'm partial to turbo cars, and turbo cars have a different pull to them. With only 4 gears, that auto had just a massive torque PULL to it, while fast turbo cars come on the turbo and catapult you away. A turbo car feels faster even if it's the exact same acceleration as an na car.

i'll take a naturally aspirated car putting down the same numbers any day. plus they don't make any v8 turbo cars. 4cyls are for bikes and women.

Agree with ya Bawls, N/A all the way! Whens the last time you heard this comment from a naturally aspirated car owner: "I normally run over a second faster, but I was heat soaked from driving from my car trailer to the staging lines."

There are many turbo V8 vehicles out there... not Pontiacs off course.
I've kept an eye on the Cayenne Turbo for awhile... I know I want one!

dynoed my bike today. I got 175 dynojet. It was about 5-10 hp low cause they couldn't get the ram-air ANY air because their tubes can't reach up high enough. It was still enough to beat the next highest bike by 14 hp (1st gen busa). The brocks map was perfect. I had the street map on, and the a/f was right on 13:1 the whole pull.

Where'd you dyno at gilberjj? Now that you are in my hp territory we need to do a back to back again. I'll look around for another bike shop dyno shootout.

I never dynoed the muzzy m10. Last year when I beat Ninjaofdoom, I was using my Tsukigi system, and he had the same mods as sticks (minus 0w20 oil, and a timing advancer). Here's how it played out.
Ninjaofdoom: 164
Gilberjj: 164.5
Sticks: 171
It was strange how stick's bike did so well considering almost all the same mods as ninjaofdoom.
Sticks, there is a bike shop dyno shootout for the next 2 weeks at Ducati Seattle. $10 to run, or 5 cans of food. All proceeds go to a charitable organization. I'm back to stock gearing, so we can try to do it next Saturday. Does that work for you. They are running from 10-6.

Interestingly, I believe my muzzy m10 was back halfing my brocks exhaust when comparing yesterday to 2 weeks ago. I will post the slips late tonight...... hopefully.
