I own an '09 ZX14, I dynoed the bike bone stock and it made 174.78. After installing Brock's SMEG system with not other mods, that's right no PCV either. The bike was dynoed again and it made 188.82 Dyno sheets are posted. What you got for that Muzzy?

Wow, you say that like you just whipped out the winning hand at a poker game.

You numbers reflect a 14.09 gain.

My 08 got 14.19 with a Muzzy M14+M10.
My 09 got a 17.xx with a Muzzy M14 + Carbon Oval.

THAT's what Muzzy has for that, if you must ask.

This whole thread is useless, it's only proving one thing, that EITHER of these systems will doa ZX-14 proud.

Speaking of #3: Dragracer, Old Man, Some Guy, Ninja Of Doom, et al why dont you guys show up and run with us, or just watch the dyno runs and make it a zx14 get together?

snowed yesterday-- 60 today??? Say when......oly,wa

_____________________________________________________________________

Hey dcjens,

I'm all for it. Did you guys hear out there that parts of Spokane got 10-12" of snow yesterday? Fortunately not where I'm at. What we got melted by noon.
This Sunday is supposed to be low 70's. I WILL BE OUT. I'm not sure I can get out that far on a Sunday, but Saturday is taken. Somewhere in between?
Either way, I think it would be awesome to get all us Washingtonians together on a ZX-14 day. Count me in. Too bad the PM isn't up. I don't get to the forums everyday. Sometimes I'm away for a week or two at a time.

So, shoot me an email at SSL509@HOTMAIL.COM if you can't reach me by posts.

I'd like to have a few roll-ons with Muzzy guys

BTW, I do enjoy the comparisons and I believe we all can benefit from this string. But we should always try to be more amicable here. It's not like we're comparing 14's to V-Max's in this string, (I especially enjoy those strings).

Gawd, if you look at all the pages of this thread its real easy. If you have a brocks pipe you are king dick of everything, weight, power, ability to install an exhaust, etc.. If you own anything else you pretty much wasted your money and will be chasing all the brocks powered bikes. Did I miss anything??????

Myself, I'll be happy with either pipe. I strongly considered he Muzzy, but I've wanted a Brocks since I first saw one.

I found one used making it cheaper than the full Muzzy system. I think I would be happy with either.

The one thing that did concern me is, reading through these forums, a few people have had issues with rough running using the Muzzy maps. I haven't seen any complaints with Brocks maps.

I still haven't had the opportunity to see them side-by-side. So there's no way I could boast which is better. Until I can ride one of each, hear how they sound, feel how they ride, see how they look in person, I'm not going to take sides.

But if you were to ask me how much I like my Brocks, I'd say, "a lot!". I'm happy to leave it at that... for now.

See, thats what I like about you Shane. You run brocks but will admit you liked your muzzy's and it ran well for you. Its just like everyone treats the muzzy like the in-law you dont talk about at family functions .

Yeah, I too was turned off by the "Temple of Brocks" that everyone seems to worship at. I'm not much into "bandwagon" mentality. But I did get some very good service from them, and I am happy with the design and weight of the pipe. I also think the map support will make things easier for me at the track.

I don't think I'm biased, and if I don't get the performance I'm looking for I will change up. So far, everything looks good quality and weight wise. I'll know more when I complete install and take the pipe to the track next week.

Shane

Brock vs Muzzy? Muzzy M10 was his first try with straight header pipes and not even close to a Brock hence the reason for a M14, M14 looks a lot like Brock's 1st and old 2006-2008 design and it's Muzzy's 2nd try at it, you want to do a end all test, then you need to test Brocks new and 2nd design agains't the M14, the new CT out performs the Alien Head by a good margin, just show's no one stops development so there will never be an end all, it's down to buyers choice.

do you have something to show this, overlaying dyno, etc?? (CT versus alien, shortmeg,)

Yes I do, but Brock didn't say it was ok to post, if you are a Brock customer just email him and ask for the Dyno chart and he will email it to you, if you are not then oh well.

no biggie, i am a Brock dealer, i can find out.

From what he has said, he wants to offer his products along a good, better, best guideline
slip on, full race system, full titanium system.

the new CT might make more power than the a-head, shortmeg, etc, but i wouldnt think it would be dramatic

Yes, the liberty of choice but you are too focused on convincing otherwise. Fund you own testing and post if you feel like it.

The whole money/funding issue I knew would never fly, but Gilberjj had to find out for himself. lol That kind of thing is never possible on the internet. Oh well, look at the bright side: we found a way for a bunch of us to spend our slow time at work by BS'ing on this post. Even caught up Brock in it

I'm no longer getting laid off and my job classification was relocated to the "critical needs" side of the ledger. Was kinda looking forward to being unemployed for the first time in my 23 years of employment. All the possibilities to screw off and lounge around the house like some hairy oversized 'Desperate Housewives' caste member...

1 stop airfare from Tampa to Seattle: $240. I'll cover it Smokin, you can stay at my place or split time with Gilberjj or ? Ride my bike that weekend, all I ask is you run the crap out of it at Pacific Raceways. Be a helluva spectacle to watch you bouncin back and forth between my bike and Gilberjj's.

Well? What are you doing April 1st thru the 3rd? It's a (ouch) 8 hour flight though.

Edit: April 1st isn't open at any local track. But the 7th and 8th are open/ test and tune days at Pacific and Bremerton Raceways.

The next couple weeks are supposed to be perfect up here. Mid 70's and sunny! Actually the first temps of the year above 70 was yesterday, forgot how beautiful this place is when the rains not beating down on you!
Check out my local riding vids for the scenery - makes you want to hit up the mountains on sunday before heading home, doesnt it?
