steering damper

Anybody know which steering damper will work with Helibars? I have the Hyperpro but it does not work so well.

gpr or scotts would be my guess... but they're not very strap friendly.

If he's using helibars, I doubt he's worried ab a strap. I've seen a bunch of gpr's on the 14's and they like them.

Nice setup masterblaster. Exactly what I was looking for. And yes Eklipse, I plan on running a strap on my 14 that has helibars.

Speaking of which, who makes the best quality affordable strap setup? I already got the brocks lowering setup on the back. Hitting the track soon and gotta try and get my 330lb ass into the 9's to keep up with Gilberjj. Come to think of it, maybe I dont since Gilberjj is selling his bike. lol

I found the bolts, nuts & washers on amazon.com. The install was a piece of cake.

Yes i do dragrace my zx14,But the Hyperpro is not strap friendly either. Masterblaster, where did you get the bracket that is on the left side bar? That is what i need to get the proper clearance.

Thats the one that came with the Hyper Pro, its been awhile, but I believe I modified it by shortening the legs, and may have drilled the top of the Helibar mount hole a little larger so the legs of the bracket would seat where the mount bolt head normally sets. When I got my Hyper Pro it was the first version with the defective mounts, and they sent me the improved mount. I fiddled with the spacers untill it all was in alignment, and it worked out fine. Didnt measure anything, but you can see about what you need. Be sure to use high tensile strength bolts. I had everything i needed in my junk box.I didnt want the center pivot to be too high requiring a longer bolt, so put a spacer between the ram rod end and the bar bracket to offset it a little. Luck with it, not too bad of a job to do.

You're only weapon left is hopes and prayors Sticks! haha I don't think I'll end up selling it. My mind is a mess right now, but I should be getting an Alien head soon so we can do that Brocks vs Muzzys competition.
