Oh my !! guys sell your Busa and zx14 right now !!!! This just in from another Vmax owner ..I really like the part about the Vmax handling better than the busa ..Next they are going to tell us the Vmax can fly !!!!!

I met up with 3 guys today while riding , they flagged me down to check out the 09 Max , 1st one they'd seen. 1 had a 08 GSXR1000 pipe PC and K&N , 1 had a 06 ZX14 bone stock , 3rd guy had a 08 Busa pipe PC and K&N. We went on some good twisty roads for about 60 miles , I let the guy on the Busa ride my Max and I rode his Busa , I had no trouble whatsoever keeping the front end down in any gear during WOT roll ons in any gear on the Busa. The guys were totally blown away with the Maxs handeling and performance , the Busa guy actaully thought the Max handled better than his Busa . And BTW roll-ons anywhere under 100mph I could easily pull away from all 3 bikes up to the speed limiter.
Later TB

There is no way your going to go wide open in first gear on a busa or 14 without standing it straight up and down, unless your 300lbs or better. if they are stock wheelbase,my 14 is at 64 inches and still comes up in first. these morons get better with every story the make up.

Does the vmin actually make enough power to do that?

I think that may be a gear out of a kubota tractor, a 60 horse model

My Honda 400EX did this twice on the second gear. It happened from shifting without using the clutch. It would jump out of gear under hard acceleration. Having to split the case twice made me learn to use it :-)

you mean it happened from being really shitty at shifting without the clutch. I probably put over 10,000 shifts on my banshee without the clutch and they've got a shittier tranny than the 400ex.

I'm pretty sure the next story we will hear from Bowelmovement and Imfasttoo is the Vmax can fly without wings ... One of the guys over they said he ran 170 MPH with his girl friend on back ..All it took was a race ECU to do it ...Funny on the dyno at redline with the race ECU top speed was 163 . It just runs out of gear and RPM to go anyfaster . But Yamaha told him it was good for 176 MPH !! I guess It's a magical Vmax .. Going 163 on a dyno is one thing but doing it in the wind is a hole different story on a nekked bike ...I bet on GPS it will never make 163 ...

I love to see someone convert to a chain drive, make a custom frame, get creative with the gas tank and convert into an airbox, get rid of them side scoops..BST or forged magensium wheels, some minimal bodywork but not too much that big motor needs to be visual still.

REM finish and DLC coat the tranny add a sixth gear if doable, add ceramic waterpump and tranny bearings, leave stock displacement but with some aftermarket high Compression CP pistons with top ceramic coated, moly coat the skirts and coat the undersides with oil shedding coating, titanium rods -coated, crank knife edeged and coated, coated oil pan, valve springs and dlc coat more agreesive cams and o/s valves, match the headwork to the cams/valevs etc Ceramic coat the cc, ports, ceramic coat the main bearings

Ti Shock spring

Ya think I like coatings yet?

Of course a light matched pipe

The normal things we would do to make as light as possible

Rid min of 100lbs and those mods now that would be bad max! when the HP gets boring add some spray

Someone will do one day...

The UK rag streetfighters have profield on a regular basis some pretty interesting 1st generation v-max's .

Ah dreaming.. is good exercise for the mind eh?
