If you put it inline out of the tank, suction head will be your friend forever...

do you happen to have an 08 - 09 fuel pump? or just an 06-07?

you can also use a 07 zx6 fuel hanger thats what i did and drop in a 255 in to that with a little tweaking lol

I have an 06 pump with a walbro255... so it can be done.. Adams did mine!

Just talked with Dave at cycle-logic. He puts in a walbro 255 for $160 + your core. I think that's a pretty good value. He said the fuel gauge still works, and running it on e85 should be no problem. I'm really impressed with cycle logic so far.
