This is not the track I normally run. When I run this track im always slower and my mph is slower...I dont know if its the altitude or what. my best pass at this track was a 9.86 at 143mph. I couldnt figure out what i was doing wrong until i came home and watched the video. I am still slipping the clutch bad. I was getting smoked by everyone in the 60ft. How do i get past that and just dump the clutch. I have a launch controller onboard but what good is it if i cant get myselft to dump the clutch?? any suggestions would be great very dissapointed in myself after all the cash i put into the bike and its not the bike i know.

Try leaving with less RPM and get off the clutch sooner. Also bleed your clutch and make sure there's no air in the line. Plus it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to check the clutches for wear if it's slipping that bad. You are picking up 30 mph on the back half so I think clutches are alright, you just need to let the lever go !

I wouldn't say you need to dump the clutch. The key thing is to "snap" it out quickly initially. Then slip it out as needed.
The movement of the bike on the break is really key. You may just need to work on that little piece. Without seeing/hearing any video it is hard to say.
I'm not the greatest at it, but I've had some very good instruction from Jason Miller and our own Crotchrocket at Jason's Seminars. I highly recommend:

Here is my 2nd or 3rd clean pass on my bike ever:
See how the bike jumps forward? The revs don't drop, and you don't hear that sickening bog. In this case I only had +2 gearing and really slipped it out. But that was still a 1.52...if I could ride it right it could have been a tenth better.
Don't mind my horrible footshifting...thankfully I have an air setup now. Like I said, I'm not the best at it....but I know what I am supposed to do.

with your mods, your 330ft is slapping you in the mouth for not getting full throttle in time.

Yep, you need to get the throttle open as soon as possible. Like advised, launch lower rpm and open the throttle. The bike may bog but then you adjust the left hand and right hand a little at a time to get it right. The hardest part of dragracing......

Im so used to slippin the clutch with a stock wheelbase my mind wants to but i cant get my hand to do it bawls
Ok look at the 60 cone when you take off , note where your clutch is at .. You need to be out of the clutch on or before the 60 foot cone .... Now your throttle , take note of the 330 cone and when you go full throttle... Lets say your 30 feet from the 330 cone before wide open , next time try to get it on 60 feet before the 330 cone ... Keep working on that till your full throttle 280 feet before the 330 cone .....Use the cones as your guide or markers.. You can't go fast riding blind and that is what you are doing ... The trick with the clutch is to toss the clutch part way to get a good 60 foot numbers without popping the wheel up ...The rest is a quick slide to release the rest of the clutch .. If the wheel is on the gound at the 60 foot mark you can pin the throttle without a wheely ... If you pop out the clutch to far at the start it will wheely and you will never turn the throttle on till the wheel comes back down .. It's all feel and only seat time will give you the feel , it has to become automatic ( muscle memory ) ...If you have to think about it you will fuck up ... There are just to many things to think about in 9 seconds...Stage RPMs ,Cutting a light ,Clutch release , throttle , tuck , shift points and staying in the grove .. Just reading that last statemant was 7 seconds ..See what i mean ? I look at it as golf , fun yes but hard to master ..You can buy the very best clubs but you still have to know how to use them...

This was the first time that I had the chance to see the video and he's definitely bogging the shit out of it. You don't have anything about gearing in your mods, so i'm going to assume that you are still stock. If so, you're going to have to really launch the piss out of it because with wheelbase and stock gearing it's kicking your ass. Regardless, you need to bring the revs up higher to get out of the bog. You're never going to just dump the clutch, because if you do it's either going to bog if you're at too low of an RPM or spin if you're higher. Go ahead and slide the clutch like you know to, but launch at a higher RPM. In order to help yourself get to WOT better, Get your elbow up in the air. This will cause you to choke up on the grip more and you won't have to adjust your hand to get WOT because of the long pull of the throttle.
Here's a video of the elbow thing.

Looking at your video i see a few things i would like you to change ... One your setting up right like a sore dick ... Get you belly over the tank , head over the very top of the screen , get as low as you can get you get and still see the tree ....Get your legs back , point of your toes on the ground behind you ...If you are airshifting Don't pick up feet up till after the second gear shift .. When you pick your feet up in first gear you will not release the clutch or pin the throttle till you feet are back on the pegs ..That just wasted a hole bunch time ... After first gear get tucked in tight and that will help your MPH ...Head under the screen, legs in tight to the frame , toes pointed in ...and don't forget your elbows !!! Get them in tight to your body ..

I never thought about using the cones as a reference, thats a good idea. I definitely need more seat time...I only starting racing mid season last year and I had great improvement over those few months, but i know i need alot more work to get there.
