I lowered and stretched mine to about 64inches with the stock rear still on and launching was pretty much non existent so I tried a Metzeler M-1. It was a tad bit better but it pretty much spun also. I hesitated about the Shinko because i didnt like the look of it. I thought about the pilot race but didnt want to spend that much money on a rear tire. So I said the hell with it and bought the U-Soft, had it put on and rode around for a while to get the new off of it. i launched a couple of times and it spun a little but I could tell it had much more bite than my previous rears. So I rode a little while longer and aired the pressure down to about 25psi and launched again and Holy Shit!! It hooked and the front tire came off the ground at least 30inches. Scared the piss out of me because I would have never thought that my zx-14 would come up like that, especially being lowered and extended. So I say Shinko all the way

people seem to like the new Michelin Power One they have two different compounds, street and Race. I used a michelin power race soft and hooked at 65in and the new one is supposed to be better. I ride a Shinko 008 slick on the street, not exactly legal, but its the hardest hooking tire i have tried. I might try the power one next.

oh, and i run 24-27psi in the shinko 008, but only 10-12 in power race or u soft. I hear Richie sells these grooved as well. I think its your best shot to hook on the street with the crazy power you have.
