I gots me a race next friday :P

I went to bike night tonight and there was a guy there talking mad shit about zx14's so I invited him to the track. What He doesn't know is that I've seen him run before and I run about 2 tenths faster at our slow track than he does at our fast one lol. I'll post up the results if and when he decides to show up next friday night. Here's what's going down.

My 2007 zx14- Brocks smeg, Track map, flies out, 16/41 gearing, lowered, strapped, shinko soft and a 175 lb rider.

VS.

His 2005 ZX10- Muzzy slipon (shortened), lowered, strapped, -1+2 gearing, michelin PP 2CT's and a 185 lb rider.

Make sure he doesn't have some go-go juice hidden in that thing. As long as he doesn't, you should beat him with no problems.

Are both bikes still stock length ? I've seen some stretched ZX10s put down some good numbers but not at stock length.

both at stock length. i'm not too worried about him. even if he runs close to the same time, i'm usually good enough on the tree to hold my own. i'm no ninjaboy... but i'm usually .06 or below

The next 4 times I pulled him convincingly.

You should be able to take him. Your strong game is going to be in the 1/8. Drill the tree, get a good launch and don't look back. He's going to have a problem keeping the front end down in the first 3 gears and traction problems on the launch because of the small footprint of the rear tire I would think.

LOL, ive got one of those stories, I had been toasting a Busa on our ride around Dallas with my GSXR-1000, so I decided to take off in 3rd instead of 2nd "highway race from 70mph" thinking I would take him again, he pulled me, and thats the only race he remembers.
