Timing for nitrous?
I have an 07/14 with pc3usb , quickshifter , BMC , full Yoshi TRC , fies out and am instaling a dry 40 shot . Im getting a window switch and a hub with a second switchable custom nitrous map . The motor is stock , can I get away with stock timing ? And take out TRE008 ? I dont want to buy an ignition module unles I have to.
Thanks for any advice.

For a 40 shot i wouldnt pull any timing. Just put good gas in it. And bump the power-commander up a few bars on the high side.

This is what kills me...why not do it the right way?
Just like in the roasted motor/turbo thread...
Can you "get away" with it? Yeah, probably. Just don't cry when it breaks.
No offense, but timing control is a lot cheaper than a rebuild. Otherwise you will be running expensive fuel to make it last. As to whether it will last on pump, there are other factors...for example, the amount of time you will be spraying it. How close to the ragged edge of safety do you want to be?

with a good safe nitrous map you will be fine with stock timing. try to map it for about 12.4:1 AFR. richer if you go bigger than 40. run cr10ek plugs or cr10eix. dont run any platinum plugs. run at least 91 octane gas. careful, its addictive stuff

Just keep in mind that the recommendations that guys give you for the dragstrip may not translate to the street or top speed runs. More time on the button = more heat.

I am recommending for drag strip. But it works trust me i know. 2006 zx14 sprayed the piss out of. Still running. Best time was last time out. 40 shot aint shit.
