is this for a zx14 or busa? If it's for a zx14, I have a bunch of pics how to mount it under the seat which is a better place, and allows you to ground to the battery.

Under the seat is better. I monuted mine per dyno jet instrution and it is a pain to adjust maps due to having to remove fairing cover.
A pair of needle nose will help alot with unplugging the factory connection.

When I installed my PC3, I used a long thin flat blade to gently release the clip on the wiring harness plug (pried up a tad) and pulled as close as I could to the connector. It came right out without issue. I have a size XL hand so getting in that space was a bitch. Typically dont like pulling on wires like that but I faired well as an FYI.
I second mounting the PC3 under the seat if you can, I put it on the left frame rail and it is a bitch to change maps if you need to. Other suggestion is get a longer USB extension cable. and run that over and under the seat.
Also when you ground the PC3 use a washer or star washer between the frame and washer bottle.
Cheers

Under the seat will work well as long as you don't plan on adding an Ignition Module later...

This is where mine is- I don't need to access it constantly.
Would have put it under the seat otherwise.

Looked at the Power Commander site tonight,The picture they took behind the coolant reservoir looks like you can drive a truck through it.I can barely see the connector let alone reach it with a human hand LOL!

You may want to consider just running an extended USB cable from the PCIII to under the seat. Then you only need to pop the seat to connect. Only drawback to this is you must start the bike to load the map otherwise you would need to remove the ram cover to connect the 9v battery.
The plug should slightly pull out toward the side making it easier to disconnect. If your still having trouble, crab a neighborhood kid with smaller hands. They would really get a thrill by helping you fix your bike. LOL.

Well after all that,It was rather easy. The connector came of very smoothly and i ended up installing it in the front fairing. Now i would like ideas for mounting 2- 12 volt plugs up front for my Gps and radar detector. Any ideas?

I am looking at a Monster Cables that the high end auto sound pro's use, And hook it up direct to my battery, it has a inline fuse as I want to install a second cooling fan and have
power for a GPS. PMR has some switches that will mount to your handle bars. This way i can turn on the second fan manual and have a second switch for GPS or Radar Jammer.

I had plenty of room on my right duct panel to add an outlet from www.powerlet.com. I am also thinking of adding a second one as well. The first one I did I put it kind of close to the upper cowl so I sort have to fuss with plugging something up but I work through it. I plan to piggyback the first one so I can plug in future stuff as well.

Hey Butta,That is exactly where i was thinking of putting my 12 volt receptacles,But they are about 2 to 2/12 inches deep ,i am going to see if i have room to fit them.I was thinking one on each side.Mine actually look quite similar but are not a powerlet brand.
