injector cleaner additive

I just took my bike out of storage last week and I've used up the gas that had sat in the tank over the winter. It was a full tank treated with Sta-bil and it sat about two months.

Should I run a tank of gas treated with fuel injector cleaner through? Could this cause any harm? Any brand recomendations?

Thank you everyone for quick replies. I'll look for one of them. The bike runs great but If it can't hurt anything, might as well dump some injector cleaner in the gas just in case. Cheap insurance, AFAIC.

Next time use Sea Foam Rook, it's a stabilizer and a an excellent fuel system cleaner.

+1 on seafoam
used it alot on outboards in AK. that sat for 9 months.
Worked better than sta-bil.

The best I've used (in cranky cars) is a B&G product available at Napa.
$26-27 a can, but its done wonders on crapped up FI cars.
Anything it didnt work on ended up needing new injectors.
Good thread, I havent used anything on the 14. It doesnt sit long.
But I will add some Chevron techron I get at Costco cheap for the cars.

Thanks I have always used Sta-bil. I have a lot of old small Honds S-90 and It is
a hassle to keep them all running and not letting the tanks rust, keep them Full of gas
next winter I will try Seafoam. Lawn equipment to darn weed eater... I hate those carbs.

You guys seem pretty sold on the seafoam, I have a can out in the shop that I picked up on sale one day. Do you guys have any info on mix ratio for fuel and for oil.

look on the back of the can for approximate mixing instructions. I just make a guess when mixing it with fuel. Great FI cleaner also

The label says 1 pint for 8-25 gallons of gas or diesel (.64 oz - 2oz Sea Foam/gallon)

It also says 1 oz Sea Foam/gallon of gas for small engines.

I think I'm going with ~5.5 oz Sea Foam to a fresh, full tank of gas. I'll be using a few ounces in there from time to time - no need to overdo it now just because the gas sat a couple months with Stay-bil in it.
