frame failures
has anyone had a frame repaired , welded and have success with the work done?

a few have had them repaired themselves, but Kawi was REPLACING the broken or cracked ones...

I thought they were replacing the frame with the
newer design gen2 zx14 frame.
There's a member who posts here often who
had the swap and never reported any issues with it.

it's in the same place all the failures have occuerd cant go with kawi i dropped the motor myself after a dealer screwed up my motor and realized after inspecting the frame i found the crack. same exact recall point.after dealing with kawi about the motor i can hear them saying i did it when dropping the motor.dont have the time to get screwed twice

your probably right to do that, but it is already prep and ready to weld . welding tomorrow. season opens too soon to wait for kawi

yes you can go to kawi for this... the recall was ordered by the Feds... I dont think you'd have to put it back together.. it's your bike... if you want to take it apart you can - this should have no effect on the recall.
