$100K huh? I'd turbo and tweek a new 14 out and pocket the other $80K. Best thing about a ZX-14 is affordable performance, best bang for buck vehicle out there.

i'm probably going to get flamed for saying this... but if being the fastest built bike is your goal... buy a busa and build a turbo 1622 stroker. spend the other 75,000 on a rig to pull it around with.

Super powerful and street riding don't really mix.
Anything over 400 will pretty much never be used.

People love the POTENTIAL of high power, but using it will ofter scare them......

Start a business and work it till the $$ is gone, apply for bailout money. Most that win a lottery end up on welfare and bankrupt. This sounds like the dude that hit concrete in the freeway on his imaginary 14. welcome back

He wanted the fatest bike .....He 's probably gone to buy a new Vmax

Well, he should have enough money left over to get a 14, after he wastes $90K tryin...

LMAO..

Call Brock @ Brocks performance - he has a new 2008, turbo zx-14 for sale that is a sleeper with full exhaust, BST wheels, etc. It would be a great starting point.

If not call Velocity Racing for a full build.

I don't care if you do or don't have a giant wad of cash, you still have to answer, in brutally truthfull fashion, these questions before you drop a dime on a bike or your first mod:
1. Drag race only bike or drag'able streetbike?
2. What series do you want to race in? If street driven mainly, how important is it that it corner well?
3. Bling Bike or Engineering Marvel? Believe me there is a huge difference when it comes to custom building a bike.
4. What can your ability and experience handle? Most likely you will need to start relatively modestly, get used to that power level/speed and then increase. It's more expensive but safer, funner, and earns you the respect of the rest of the racers out there. (read up on Shanes build and racing threads where he documents everything thats happening to him and what he's learning)

Take your time, dont scare the shit out of yourself with some monster hp bike that you arent ready for, and immerse yourself in the experience and people around racing - because most of the good stories and memories you'll have from it will not be the 7 or 8 seconds of blasting down the tarmac, it'll be the pit stories.

Stones,
For once I completely agree with all of your statements in one post.

I however am building a bike that will be flexable enough to ride on the street with the power turned down, and a rediculous ammount of Power I will have to learn to ride on the track...
One that is fully capable in HP at a pro level, and flexable enough to allow me to start off at a reasonable level and turn it up. One that will not be out grown, and I can grow and learn with.
