modifiying stock brake hanger for more adjustment

i have the roaring toyz extensions and i have them adjusted as far forward as i can go that the stock hanger allows.... everyone with extensions knows that the hanger has a recessed slot that rides in the raised part on the inside of the swingarm. im still to far out to hook on the street, it spins in the top of first and halfway through second.

i have about 2-3 inches of forward adjustment left in the extensions but u cant go but so far because the recessed slot in the hanger is closed off on far end. can i cut the groove all the way through the length of hanger to allow me to shorten my wheelbase some without compromising the strength of tha hanger??? thanks guys

im running the michelin pilot 2ct..... could that be it should i just try a u-soft before i start cutting??

I found I had to drop my tire pressur from 34 to ~ 30 psi to hook on the street, and sometimes it would still spin when I grabbed 2nd gear... any luck lowering tire pressure?
I don't have the stock hanger anymore.... pics would help bro.

You can get a billet hanger without a torsion bar (left),
or enlarge the slot on the oem- plenty to give there IMO (right).

Look at the brake brace, that bolts to the inside of the swingarm.
Some have a long side and a short side.. (bolt holes are not centered)
If you do just flip it so the long side is toward the front.

masszx14 - how does that billet hanger keep from moving at all without any torsion bar? seems the caliper and all would spin until brakeline was taught...... i could b wrong but ive never used one.

i have lowered the pressure but havent put a guage on it to see exactly where im at.... ill have to get back with you today on that.

ninja12 do you mean flip the mounting plate with the hanger lug towards front of swingarm? i think mine is towards rear....

also i would take pics but im on a cell phone. sorry

Look closely, the exoticycle has a tab on the right that hooks into your axle slot in swingarm

i can hardy tell looking at the pic on the phone. the pic of the stock hanger he posted does show the recessed slot i was referring too in my original post. its blocked off towards axle end and you can only adjust so far forward unless i cut the slot longer

This will give you a better look of the tab that rides in the axle slot
