This looks very similar to the zx14.

I Had the RF900r back in high school, Dont you think it looks like the zx-14? It had the george forman grilles 10 years before the 14..lol I was at a friends house and he had one of these in his shed made me think of how close it looks to the zx14. It was kinda the zx14 of its time, it made 120 rw hp lots of tourqe did 165 mph and was a sport touring bike.

I see it myself, guess the rest of you also have trouble at those puzzle pictures with hidden stuff in them, dont you?

I remember those 900's, they were the shit for a few years- until they 'downsized' the 1000s into a more sporting size.

Remember when every 1000 made was meant as a physically bigger, more comfortable bike? Now they are all trying to find ways to shoehorn a 1000cc engine into a 600 chassis...

Glad to see im not alone on this one. I think you need to see this bike in person to really see the resemblance. And for the rf being 14 years old to have the grilles the wide tailsection, same lines, as the zx14's is kinda cool. At the Ice house last night several people thought they looked similar. Yeah they were drunk and one thought my 14 was a busa, but thats besides the point..lol

Dood,
how can you say they were the shit, unless you meant they were shit?
My friend had one and I spanked him with my 96 gsxr750 SRAD- ALL DAY LONG!
Never mind my 87 GSXR1100...

My buddies zx9 at the time was spanking us all.

The rf did 10.7 Secs / 130mph 1/4. back in 94. The 96 gixxer 750 did what 10.6? You cant knock the Rf, in its day it was fast for its class.

My original '84 900 Ninja did the quarter in 10.6. OK, that wasn't me, that was PeeWee Gleason. Let's see, back in the ol' drinkin' days it would have taken a couple of pints of vodka and then I'm sure I would have seen the similarity clearly. Of course, I might have seen a similarity with my red bicycle also. lol
