Birthday wish!! Should I get get Zumo 550 or 660gps?
OK fellas..... another birthday is coming up and I'm going to focus on getting a GPS for the ZX14 and that unit needs to be transferable to my cars. I've been researching both units and I'm torn between them. Anyone have some comparison between them or can recommend a unit that would suffice my requests

I have the 550 gps and it was designed for motorcyclists. I find it to work very well under motorcycling and car conditions. If you plan on using it on battery power then only for around two hours (if you use the bluetooth for phone and directions then it will draw more power). I recommend hard wiring to the bike and use the cigarette plug for the car.

i just got the garmin 265wt and love it. i velcro it to my techmount. it has the latest traffic updates lifetime for free. runs off battery or cable no prob. i use it in the cars too. it is not as rugged as the zumo but i don't ride that much in wet weather. i would take a plastic bag along if i did. its much cheaper and has bluetooth so you know if you get a phone call when riding, if you want. great support for garmin.
