If you mean to lower the front of the bike, 1.25 inches is max. to keep from smashing the fender.

If I remember correctly, the top of the gold cap is near level with the lowest part of the top clamp. Correct me if I'm wrong there.

1" with shocks set very stiff IMO. I tried 1.25 but upper kept hitting the fender due to rough raods in SC. I know its just .25" but it worked for me( but I am a heavy weight.) You can always strap it down at the track.

Don't worry about removing the lower fairing, bc your gonna tear a hole in your oilpan before the fender

68" WB , cut pan, turbo and straight link. Strapped the bike is 1/2 inch off the fender and ~4 inches off the ground. I'm shooting for 2" ground clearance strapped.
I'm going looooow, just don't know how low I can get without running into other problems.
Do the forks taper or are they straight?
I hate when I do stupid stuff and EVERYBODY already knew what was going to happen except me. Anybody know of problems with pulling the front fender and lowering to get 2" ground clearance?
Any other suggestion for getting low?

The forks are tapered, unfortunately I no longer zx14 forks and do not know if you will be limited. If you use a vernier caliper you will be able to see where it tapers and max drop you can acheive. I would also get the lowering blocks, or the forks cut if you are that serious.

Dub,
I may try the cut forks but the plan is a street/ strip bike. I need to be able to lift for commute.
68" is long for the street but I've riden 63-64 for years without problems and
don't expect any with 68". I'm very laid back on the street with wide P-stripes on all the tires. It's a work in progress and I'm not sure exactly what I want.

Top triple clamp? You mean the clipon? Could you measure from the triple as I have the LSL bar kit on my bike. Thanks

Nope, as I said, from the top of the triple clamp to the top of the fork leg. (the alloy cap on top of the tube). I have a set up similar to the LSL bar kit except I made my own.
4.5mm
