clutch info.?

1. It is time to replace my clutch fibers (Due to letting a friend take a few passes . )and i am tring not to get raped by the stealership.
Stock fibers and steels with barnett high pressure spings has worked fine for me up until this piont (6000 miles, little track and alot of steet ) . However, I am open to suggestions.

2. Where can i find the best prices on steels and fiber?

Thanks for all the feedback.

1.Has anyone had any experience with barnett hd springs (pro's and con's plz)?

2.Will a quick shifter prolong clutch life due clutchless upshifts?

I've tried the Barnett. I found them a little harder to modulate (at the strip)...I ended up slipping the clutch more to compensate, and burnt it up.

I'm sure that with a little more practice they would have been ok for me. The lever pull is not that bad.

I have the barnett plates and frictions and the HD springs. I absolutely love them. Instant grab. You do have to learn to feather it rapidly without letting it too fast. Seems like mine is 1/8 inch from fully dis-engaged to fully engaged....

as for the stiffer pull, I got big hands so it doesn't bother me. I could see where some folks would hate pulling on the clutch all day long though....

The last Barnett clutch plates I used was for my 1983 CB1100F Honda. It too had
a narrow dis- engagement and the the drive tabs were harder on my clutch basket.
I noticed it left indentions in the the clutch basket and starting grabing. But it did lock up Great and never slipped until the basket needed to be replaced. It lasted about 15,000 Hard miles and 50 passes at the track.
