I think you will be suprised how much that strap will help with your 60ft. That isn't bad tho! You will see 9's before you know it!

Get those 60" down to a 1.6 and you will have a 9 second run, how did you do in elimenations?

Thank goodness it was only a test and tune event. I hate eliminations because I'm terribly inconsistant. Even on the old XX, I was never the same twice in a row.

When everyone on this forum pretty much sumed it up that I was going to run 10.50's in my current configuration and then I did better than that, I was thrilled.
I did also discover what a mild tank slapper is like. The run that I "threw away" was when The bike came up in first gear somewhere past the 60', and when it came down ( gently ) the bars started wagging like the ass of a happy hound dog. Looks like a steering dampner is going to be in my future. Damm though they are expensive.

On the run that I netted a 10.53, I did have a little traction problem in second gear on the shift but the bike is generally so damm stable that a slight/quick throttle correction let me hook back up and stay straight.

Check your front tire for cupping...I noticed my bike would do that when the front tire started cupping.

I'm also thinking that I may do better overall going back to the stock 17T front sprocket. I'm going through the lights at the very top of 4th gear as it is, so, if I go back to stock gearing, it may also help the front end from flinging up so violently in first gear.

good move with the throttle!
I have always found more thrust is best to getting out of a tank slapper..
If you wait to think about it, its too late.
It must be instinctive...
