cat converter

i read somewere that 08 09 zx14 got a cat converter in the front pipe is there someone that know,bruno

It does have one. I removed mine. Looking back it doesn't seem so bad but that was not a fun day! I'm not as skilled as some, it took me an honest six hours. I didn't remove it from the bike to do it. That would definitely make it easier.

What difference did you notice after removing it? Sound, power, running temp???

I actually did it early on in the break in period to get some of the heat away from the motor. I also thought that opening it up and getting rid of the stock slip ons would help it to breathe. I just put on Two Brothers Carbons but I haven't had it tuned with the PCIII yet. I'm planning on that in the next couple of months. It didn't change the sound with the original slip ons. The way it is now I can tell the fueling is way rich. My Two Bros. came with a Juice Box which is currently installed. It has some pretty LED lights that you can see when you accelerate. Besides that it's worthless. I'm trying to decide between a PC3 USB or the new PCV. I'll update after I get her tuned.

if you dont plan to instal a turbo take a look at the motty afr tuner.www.afrtuner.com.i got one on mine and it work very well.bruno
