Another "Which Exhaust" thread.......
Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. So anyhow, I've read all of the "I love Brock's" threads. I ride an 08 Silver, and I want to get a set of slip-ons that not everyone has. That is to say, I like to be different. That being said, I am considering three exhausts, but the two I am considering the most are both pretty new and I can't seem to find any reviews of them to speak of. The first is the FMF Apex. Love the look of the CF version. Anyone got any experience? Secondly, how about the new Vance & Hines CS One (black version). I used to like V&H, then they sort of slipped off the sportbike map and only did the Harley thing for like 10 years. I sure like the look of these, too, but I want some feedback before I drop the coin on them. And lastly, my trusty backup is the Area P's. They look like the build quality is great. The only tick I have against them is that they look, well, normal. I want slip-ons that have a nice deep, throaty bark when under load, but are relatively stealth when cruising. Oh, and I like the thought of dropping weight and not being able to fry eggs on my mufflers, too! Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys, and sorry for the long first post!

Hi! Have you used the search feature? For skip-ons, area P is the best! There is cheaper of course, but if you want the best....

So you have the 08 Atomic Silver 14? You mean the slickest, best looking of all the 14's? Excellent. Kind of reminds me of................ME! I don't know much about the other two, but if you are going to go slip-ons, I've heard great things about AreaP's.

Yep, as I said, I like the Area P's too. I was just hoping someone might have a tidbit on the other two exhausts.
And yes, the 08 Silver is the meanest. Love it.

Have you looked at brucefab? They make some good looking strapons as well I call them strapons because buying slipons is pretty much just getting screwed.

I think M-4 retrodrags are just what you're looking for. They are loud, about as loud as a meg, I've been told. They are small and as light as you're going to get in slipons. I think the weight of the set is about 8 lbs. They are flat black (which would great with your silver) and they looke like short, dual megs with a unique domed end.

Thanks for the idea Rook. I've seen the M4 Retro's, and they are just not quite my style, plus I'm pretty sure they are louder than I want.

Huh? Please explain because maybe I'm missing something. Not speaking for Bruce which makes a unique set of Slip-Ons themselves. But dropping 15+ pounds, gaining 5 hp with simple installation and no remapping, losing a huge amount of residual muffler heat, along with sounding and looking pretty cool is getting "screwed"?
