which air filter?

Ok I have a Brocks shortmeg pc3 and installing a dynotune nitrous system on the ram air tubes. I was going to get a BMC filter i do ride on the street with the bike also, which filter should i get the street filter or race is there much difference?

Keep the street filter IMO.

There is only a slight difference in the two.

Putting in the more restrictive filter will help to filter all the nitrous you will be spraying.

I went with the "race":



It's not like you are going to suck a bird through the race filter.

It probably won't make-or-break the performance, either way.

Don't worry... the difference that you will notice will probably be negligible unless you are counting hundredths of a second like Smokin'. Keep the street filter and you will have less maintenance to do and it will protect the engine more.

lol... The race filter does make a bit more HP than the street filter ( Maybe 1 or 2 HP )

I guess i can always down the road get the race filter and only use it when i spray thats probably my best bet. And Thanks Smokin...now you show up!

i use the street filter on the street and it works fine. big improvement over stock.

I'm using the pipercross race filter. It requires cleaning about every 3000 miles, but that is good practice regardless of filter.
