Lyle, did you ever weigh that billet pan? I'm curious as to how much it weighs compared to stock. I have an oem one here I can weigh as well, for comparison...

The pan is already on the motor, and I never did weigh it.
I would guess it is pretty close to stock, but eliminating the cooler would make it lighter.

I sold the 550 injectors and the MTC pistons are in the motor.
I got the BigCC from orient, but Chris Jones sells velocity stacks for a bit less money I think.
He can be reached at 1-352-490-8060
I am running his secondary injectors which are beautiful pieces. A bit pricey with the microteck controller, but very flexable, and much easier to tune for big HP and drivability.
definately the best way to do it all.

Chris also sells entire turbo kits and is great guy to deal with!
I highly recommend you call him for any turbo needs.

LOUIS THAT IS NOT COOL DOOD>
Louis, I have 15 of those brackets left and would appreciate it if you did NOT do that.

Stan, I am still waiting for your list of favorite micheal jackson songs :P

The zx14 forks are for my 1st gen vmax, its getting billet tripples, zx14 brakes, forks, wheel and a 07 zx10 fender
The stock 1st gen vmax frt end has .38kg/mm fork springs, and race trech recommends 1.0 kg/mm
the stock vmax entire front end is a POS LOL

AS FOR MY 14...
I missed it dearly this summer, but had other priorites, including my sanity.
I ran into so many supplier problems, that I had to shelve it before I turned crazy.

I decided back in June, that I was not gonna sweat it , I was not going waste the summer in the garage,
I needed focus on the neglected family and leave the bike for a bit.
I HAD MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO TAKE CARE OF.

I sold the ATP turbo, and am waiting for something SPECIAL FROM CHRIS JONES.
Since its winter here, I am not in a big rush, but still have big plans.

My ZX14 just went back on the lift. I have some details to work out like gauges, shorter harness, turbo oil feed and return mods, custom signals, remote/keyless start, and some other custom details. It will be ready for the big turbo, when it arrives.

Oh, I just started accumulating parts for my aluminum frame KX500 I am building!
75 RWHP and 220 lbs will be the goal. 60 ft lbs and 220 LBS LMAO
should be fun!

I sold the KTM 505 last week...

My blood does flow green! LOL

missed that, it is the internet, where feelings, impressions and interpretations are missed.
I should know better, just from our few dealings,..... and no not stressed.

I do know that guys are copying them, and those who are should be really proud of themselves ....

Oh, and thanks for the assistance Louis, it is appreciated,
Sorry about the cam chain tensioner...

I guess I was off quite a bit on the stock seat weight....

Found a few more pounds

1 lb

Exhaust hanger bushings, and Air injection parts I found from when I removed them back in June 2006..1.5 lbs

Well I have some more work to get the seat where I want it to be asthetically.

Here is a few pics of the all black R6 tail section and the unfinnished seat installed loosley
( not bolted - reason they look a little mis fitted)

Fantastic job on the appearance.. What gave you the idea for the tail section?

Thanks guys,
I pulled the sheet off, rolled the bike out of the corner and back on the lift this morning.
I am really excited again, and thats what I needed to do, take care of business, and family, and recollect.
After installing the tiger undertail, and looking at the tail in detail, I realised i could chop a bunch of weight off the ass.

I looked at the zx10 and zx6 tail, but was not so impressed, then they came out with the 08zx10, which was nicer, but i had already bagan the R6 tail section.

Anyway, the seat has been redone since that pic, and the subframe is no longer zx14 modified. It is a complete new boxed aluminum sheet metal piece.
I have also anodized the tripple black with a permanent damper mount, welded and machined. The clip ons will likely be replaced again.
I have a few options to try once I get the plastics on it and ensure I have the clearance.
The steering stops were also modified on the lower gsxr triple, with the bolts countersunk in the elliptical adjusters. I have them set up pretty wide, so even with 6-10" stretch, it turns as tight as a stock bike does, for parking manouvers.

I did make quite a few changes since those pics.

I want to get it done to the point where I will only have to bolt up Chris Jones Turbo and go!

woot woot.

Shoot me an email or leave a Michael Jackson music voicemail if you're selling that swiss cheese zx14 more-cut/ less-paste subframe from these pics, looks light. Hope the rear section is not too mutilated and it still might work with the 14 oem tail.

I'm trying to find some bearings for that front wheel so it won't have to be done at a machine shop. Will email you when I know.

the old subframe with the holes cut is mofified to take an R6 subframe and tail section.
It will never accept a srock zx14 tail again.

Stan, I picked up a zx14 front wheel bro for the Vmax.
Sorry, but I will pass on the zx10 wheel.
That is an awesome deal though if it can be done.
I am sure there are others who would buy it.

New GT35 Turbo from Chris Jones will be here 4-6 weeks!
I cut my custom Catalyst side panels for the old turbo, so now I am wondering what will come of it.
The air filter and exhaust are routed out opposite sides the other kit did.
I do like the fact new Turbo exhaust will be pointed out the right. Should wake up cagers as I go by! LOL
