Carbon Fiber ZX10 front fender
Just curious if those that have a CF ZX10 fender had any issues with fit or finish with it.
Can you reuse some existing hardware or buy OEM ZX10 hardware?
What brand fender did you buy?
Did it fit well?
Did you have to drill the mounting holes?
I'm thinking OPP right now, but I know there's others....
Thanks for your advise.

If you're the same board member from zx14ninja...
I think you're in NH, feel free to pm me for a ride when it warms up
and you can check the fender on my bike.
All you need for hardware is Lyle's stuff.

LOL
Mine is a small monster truck,.... 8" and 36 rubber...mine is on the limit of reasonable as daily driver...
My buddies is 18" and 46" rubber.... its retarded though.... his is just too tall, its 50" to the door sill.
just stay away from powerbronze... I have had no luck with their stuff, and heard nothing good from others...
Bestem makes good stuff, and although might be a little heavier than the opp, their stuff is predrilled, and bolts straight up.
OPP is definately good stuff, light and the real deal, but a little more work involved.

I had a great experience doing business with them and will again, for what its worth. But I don't know if I got lucky or they cleaned up.

All aftermarket carbon fiber fender I've seen (which is probably less than 10...)
had blemishes and imperfections- they're all "hand made"...
Mine looks great in all pics, but in person has light scratches... visible in sunlight.
It is extremely light and looks great on the bike IMO though, so it was well worth it!
If the finish goes bad- I'll just get something else

nice!
to make the carbon bits body parts that replace factory parts "perfect" would require extra coats of clear according to the makers i've talked with at shows and such.
the manufacturers clearly say when they sell these that to put the extra clear on would add weight and ultimately be as heavy as the stock part it is replacing.
a friend has a new Duc and bought the extremely expensive carbon front fairing. it has all the imperfections, and he told me if he was in it for looks he'd have kept the pretty yellow front fairing on it anyway.
I've never had imperfections in exhaust, but they arent ultra-light part as the body parts.
here's a closeup of the last carbon i bought:
