Pictures without the undertray
Do you guys have some pics of your (or other) zx14 without the undertray. By undertray, I'm talking about the black part between the exhaust and rear wheel. It looks fine on the exhaust side, but looks out of place without exhaust (left side of the bike).

It went in the junk pile with the zx14 fender, horn, rubber engine covers, undertail, reflectors, stock pipes, and the elephant dick mudflap...

I removed mine very soon- with the Brock's install. All it does is collect dirt and
the mounting bracket it hangs on is heavy too. Chuck it and forget about it!

They were... I ran them for a little while, but they were just too damn loud and I couldn't get on base with them. One of the members here has them now that lives in lakeland florida. I just sold them for what I had in them. As far as slipons go, they looked and sounded great. Just not for coronado lol.

What's the reason for removing the undertray then? Isn't it an aerodynamic aid to airflow under the bike?
I had to modify the undertray subframe a bit when I fitted the lowering links so I could get a socket on.

The tray and frame without mounting bolts weighs 18oz or 1 lb 2oz.
The Euro bikes with center stands don't have them so probably not a big deal but I thought the tray might help keep dirt off the rear shock.

Well, I'll think about it. Once I get my adjustable links, I want to be able to lower the bike *with ease* at the track. I think it will be easier with that tray out of the way. Plus it looks out of place on the side without the exhaust.

PITA to adjust links with it on there...its only a couple of bolts but still in the way...

butta..... we're talking about the undertray, not the undertail. The undertray (as I've tried to explain it in my own words) is the triangle body piece inbetween the tire and footpeg. It's on the very bottom of the bike. Thanks for your enthusiasm though!

Oh that thing! You mean the under wing or belly wing or such. Yeah then you can excuse my cheap plug on my Eclipse Plate, lol. From here to New Orleans, they are in love with my plate hider.
