That would be a sad mistake alright.
I read somewhere that the 500 is to be dropped. 600/650's got that segment covered.
Hell Kawi didnt have any show prototypes and there is no interesting "spy" photos anywhere and no magazine stuff on any developing models from KHI
So this thread is a mute point. Fun but we know what aint coming.

For my own interest, would like to see 1349cc and stay out of the 1600cc class. The 14's engine is a perfect turbo motor and if you were to make a guess as to why they made the lower end so tough, the answer would be for a turbo. A turbo like the turbonetics 3/4 builds huge torque at 3000 rpms and above. A fella at work here owns a Suzuki M109R and he was shocked at the amount of low end power. When he throttled for the torque that gear would finish in a couple seconds, it was over before he started.

You will definately see a change in the fuel injection system. They will be incorporating 8 injectors instead of the current 4 which will give you a bigger hit on the top end and it should have all Titanium valves on the intake and exhaust and some minor tuning and tweaking of the cylinder head !!! Maybe 4-6 more horsepower and a couple foot pounds of torque is what i'm guessing !!! It's definately going to be more powerful !!!

isnt there some fukked up law saying you cant have a factory turbo anymore? im not sure where i heard or read that... its why they quit making the Z1RTC or 750 turbo isnt it?? (hopefully im wrong on that one) a factory turbo with forged pistons would be awesome. crank up the boost and run c16 at the track, run pump on the street....

I haven't heard of one. There is still a lot of cars with turbos. I had an Eagle Talon turbo for 10 years. When you hop them up they get better gas milage. I went from low 15's to low 13's and 21 mpg to 25 mpg.

There is no law stopping factory turbo bikes ,the jap four just have not built one since 85.
Dont see them changing their minds anytime soon. They are very concerned about
public image and stirring up trouble with lawmakers. Caution on their part is what gave
us the voluntary 186 mph limit. If they wanted to build a rocket they easily could, but they
just want to make money and not damage their chances of making more in the future.

factory turbo would be amazing
after riding Honda's CBR w/ ABS, think this would be a good option too, provided it operated in the BG like the Honda system.
Retiring the grills would be nice too

If they could just build a turbo 800-900cc engine at 3-4 psi boost where you as a consumer would have room to maximize power to it, thats all I am asking. They would use less fuel tooling around on which means less emissions. The cost to produce this would of course be more but to have that potential evryone would pay a little more. How far can we expect them to go on cc's without them being smacked by emissions laws, etc.

The liberal governments of America and Europe would never allow such in the market place (emissions tests and tree-hugging)
