Ceramic Exhaust Coatings?
Who has had their exhaust coated? Where did you get it done, how long was the turnaround, etc? Any pics?
Thanks.

When I was building the headers for TRD (at Jardine), we used Embee exclusively
http://embeeperformance.com/ . Sometimes turn-around was a few days, sometimes a few weeks. Depends on their work load.
What I like about them was they did both internal and external coating of the systems and kept the mil thickness very consistent. Some companies only do external. Though the debates are seemingly endless as to the "performance" aspects of it; the only reason we/TRD utilized this coating process was to lower underhood temps. Essentially the heat goes out with the exhaust and doesn't radiate under the hood (as much). And the coating is really, really durable. We did hundreds and hundreds of sets and never had a single one returned. We did the "silver" color, though I believe they offer several color options. Good stuff.

I'll check them out. I am thinking it will help with some of the "heat soak" issues. And, the 14 runs hot anyway.
Thanks.

I had mine done by Powder Barons in Delaware, 3 week turnaround.
I can touch the pipes as soon as I get off and can hold them after a few minutes.
The headers are being sand blasted from the front tire kicking up sand and pebbles,
but its holding up pretty well.
There has been a few cold nights that I have missed the heat, LOL.

Another vender too consider
http://calicocoatingsinc.stage.thomasnet.com/advanced/all-categories/automotive-racing?
My little bitch (1070 1k) motor, head, tranny and crank has just about every type of coating they offer an application for short of coating the shipping boxes those items were sent back to me in.
Several shipments and multiple coating types later over span of a few months, everytime they MET or exceeded the time frame they said it would take. Priceless value IMHO
Did not have my exhaust coated being titanium but they do offer exhaust coating with several options

The "missing" spring was taped inside the Muzzy box. In fact, I took one off of my current exhaust so there would be a full set (when I bought the pipe originally it was missing 1 spring).
I never had a radiator bracket with it; I didn't know it needed one (I never installed the exhaust). Check inside the box for the spring, though.

I just got my exhaust (used). The m10 is ceramic coated and it does cut down on the heat. It isn't warm in WA yet so I still have yet to see how it helps during the summer heat.

Here is my old exhuast that I loved, Greg at HPC had it ceramic coated for me.

My brock system is painted with high temp paint and Its held up well. I baked the system just after I finished putting three coats on. I have to sand and touch up the mid pipe because my boot keeps hitting while racing and has caused some chips in paint.
