custom PCIII map without a dyno?!?

Hi all. This is my first post, on any forum, ever.

I just traded my R1 in for a used ZX14 a couple weeks ago. IT has a Two Brothers slip-on exhaust system, and from the lack of power at around 3,000rpm the secondary flies still in.

I just got my PCIII in a few days ago and they have a premade map for my setup, but i def want to get those flies out of there. They also have a premade map for muzzy slip-on system with the flies OUT.

At first, i was thinking about just using that map because how much diff can the two slip-on systems be? But i noticed that they also have a premade map for muzzy slip-on with the flies still in!

So my question is....... Can i use the "compare maps" feature and compare the changes dyno-jet has made with the muzzy slip-on system with and without the flies, convert that change into a %, and apply those % of change to thier two brothers map to CREATE MY OWN CUSTOM MAP WITHOUT A DYNO?

Strongly recommend doing it on a dyno where you can read and adjust the mixture at all rpm ranges. You'll run cool as a cucumber and your engine will love you for it. Stock maps suck.

I was deff considering that but i noticed that the muzzy slip-on was a single pipe, and that the exact discription od that map was "muzzy slip-on, stock OR aftermarket airfliter"

With those variables, i thought it might not be as close as could be if i did it the other way.

My bad. I thought the Muzzy would be two canisters.

I haven't the slightest clue what the Muzzy map is like. The map on my turbo is full custom Power Commander III .

all the muzzys i've seen were single can. Also i just used the compare maps feature with the two bros vs muzzy and it looks like dynojet added just a bit more fuel to the muzzy map in almost all rpm and throtle positions.

So that backs up my thoughts that they were only slowing the air down with 1 can instead of the two bros dual cans.

i got the same setup as you have slip on flies out bmc air filter pc3 usb.premade map are a way out of the track in my case to lean at some place to rich at other place=go dyno.or like i do remove the pc3 and instal a motty afr tuner this thing is amasing build your own maps and compare your result with the build in dataloger.with the self tuner you are always on your best . i use another datalogger to double check the afr tuner and it really work.

All commercial slip-on ZX-14 systems are dual cannister, to my knowledge. Including the Muzzys.

I think any slip-on map, flies-out, will suffice.

Man do i feel stupid. I just googled zx14 muzzy slip on IMAGES and there are tons of pics of dual can slip ons. Thats what i get for just using the WEB search. I guess they want you to buy the full system so thats the pic they use the most.
