My friend has a Red 06 ZX-14 with 18,000 miles. He had a local tuner with a Dyno check his valves and replace the plugs. We were Suprised None of the valves needed the shims replaced, We removed all the body work so we could see if there were any oil/water leaks when they were finished,.
Glad we did,we found the clip nut in the air box needs to be replaced, do Not over tighten this,

My 07 only has 3k on it so I feel Happy that I do not have to worry about this for a long time. The ZX-14 must have some Hard valves and seats. My 1986 FJ1200 usually needs a few shims replaced every 10K. It has 51,000 miles now. Hope the ZX-14 fairs as well as the FJ does.
