New quickest pass 8.745!!
Didn't mean to hijack smokin's post, so I'll start my own...
Awesome air conditions, awesome track conditions, and a splash of MR9 helped me run my quickest pass to date on Friday night, 8.745!!!
Corrected density altitude was -1600 ft, 30.05 in. pressure, 30% humidity, 40 degrees. Couldn't ask for better conditions.
Still yet to touch the engine after 900+ passes!!!

That's correct dubious, possibly a bit more. I'm down to 187, so with suit/boots/helmet should be right at 200.
The air was so good it was like having free NOS.

ninjaboy with the setup you, is your bike streetable as in can you ride it everyday. I would like to follow what you did but i ride my bike on the ride and at the track. Im in Galveston so the conditions shouldnt be that much of a difference. Refresh my memory on all that you have done.

Pretty much streetable, only thing is the sidewinder would prevent sharp turns.
Wheelbase is 69" to hold it down on the launch, but I still have 3"+ ground clearance. And I have the fiberglass tail, which removed the back blinkers. Oh and the non oring chain would have to be an oring or an xring for the street.

Thats some good times 311'' I still get impressed at the 60 ft that thing puts down that long. I fought traction problems all last season after i moved the bike out to 66''. Your bike just proves what a stk 14 motor will do,i know your riding the wheels off that bitch, but the mph is showing what hp these things are making. Very impessive........

Thanks Bill. I credit my 60' times to a few things:
1) Well prepped track
2) Michelin Power Race Soft 180-55 that sticks like glue
3) Litz race shock
4) Of course the power supplied by the ZX-14

First off awesome et's and mph. Congrats. Could you post some info on these race stacks? And did you get to do any back to back runs with and without them?

I have Factory Pro race stacks on the bike. Been having them since last year, but seem to work better with good air. Would say they are good for a couple hundredths.
Didn't get to do any back to back runs with and withouth them, too much work to install them (lifting the tank and all to get to the airbox).

Were they shorter than the stockers? I ask because I bought a set for my gixxer 1k and they were a bit longer than the stockers were and it actually slowed the bike down and the strip. It felt a lot better in the lower range with the factory pro stacks, but it would sign off earlier. Is that why you are shifting at 10,6k? Thanks for the reply

They are all shorter.
Always have shifted at 10,6K on the shift light. Bike doesn't make any more power above that, stacks or not. If shifting off the tach past 11K, and it seems to make the most power, its because the stock tachs are off, so you are really shifting 400-600 RPM's earlier. A shift light is right on.
I've tested above and below 10,6K, but 10,6K have given me the best results.
