most of those miles were interstate slabbing to work! I always get good mileage out of tires, only problem is keeping them round instead of squared off.

I got about 2500 miles on my 2CT's, which are showing 1/3 life left. The real way to tell is I only had 3 good rides on those 014's (twisty road rides). I'll post up my 2CT photos once I finish them off this spring- just need one last good ride to scrub them sides down.

I'd say riding style changes tire life too. Also if you ride a passenger. I found out this will square off a tire quick, it did my rear pirelli

Just stuck on a pair of BT-016's today, 100.00 cheaper than PP 2CT's.

I did not notice a difference in turn-in rate from the OEM 014's to the 2CT's. mostly because ... I suck int he corners, lol.

Wanted more mileage than the 3,000 I got from the 2CT's and since I run BT-003's on my 600 track bike I thought I'd try the BT-016's on the ZX14 for street/twisty riding.

From what I read the PP 2CT's only have the dual compound on the outer 12% on the rear and the outer 40% on the front.

The BT-016's have a triple compound being harder in the center, same sticky in the second third as the 2CT's center, and more sticky in the last third (outer) than the outer edge of the 2CT's.

I figured the center harder would get me the mileage, the second section would equal what I got from the 2CT's in the twisties and the outer edge I rarely get on but if I do it'll be stickeirthan the 2CT's.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Mileage will tell the tale soon.

You can get bt016s for cheap, but from what I've seen, they wear out quite quickly. I couldn't find fault with the roadsmarts for a street tire. I could have the bike fully over in a corner and exit wot in 2nd gear. I've had a number of tires, and only the dunlop 211 could do that without spinning. I have no doubt that the bt016s grip well, but I liked the harder longer lasting compound of the roadsmarts.

I love them. I bought both front + rear for $247.98, no tax, and no delivery charge.

I got about 700 miles on the BT-016's, they seem reasonably sticky & neutral feeling with a nice smooth ride. Had the Roadsmarts before for the mileage advantage but never really trusted them at full tilt so I decided to go back to sport tires. Don't expect to get as far on them but prefer to stick to the ground better. Got 5500 out of the Dunlops though. Michelin's ride on my 1100s for the crazy twisties in Ga./Tenn. They stick like glue & transition quicker than other tires I tried (014's, Metzler m1, Qualifier) but they all wear out under 3500 miles.

I went with the contintal sport attacks because of test on 2 compound tires stating you could feel them squirm when in transition from one to the other comppound.the conti's are a continous compound tire. You get the softer grip on the outside due to how they cure the tire. without the abrupt change in grip of some of the multi-compound tires. It is a symmetrical style tire for the record.

Pilot Power 2ct front, Pilot Road 2ct rear, 10k km's on them, few thou left, didn't like the oem Bridgestones at all and probably won't use Bridgestones again. The pilots have done hwy/ twisty/ two up work and even a track day, my next set up again for sure............

original bt014s got 3500 miles and they would wash out under hard cornering, next pilot powers for 6500 miles, truly a great confidence inspiring tire, no slippage anywhere until cords showed. now running pilot power 2cts for 2500+ miles with lots of tread left, expect comparable to the original pilots as far as mileage. as far as stick goes the 2cts will go anywhere anytime, just hold on! smokin will attest that i use the whole tire out to the edges. if you can afford it go with michelins, i have never had a more confidence inspiring tire than the pp2ct!.
